Day Five Hundred and Eighty-Eight

Friday 4th April 2014 ~ Today I got up, put on my new dress and hat and was all ready for the day. Aunt Nini said we were going on an adventure...
We went in the broom broom to the Timanfaya National Park...
The scenery was amazing. Daddy said it was like being on the moon
We went on a coach trip to see the Montanas de Fuego (Fire Mountains)...
Look at the amazing view!
Daddy said that there were volcanic eruptions almost three hundred years ago that buried all the villages and houses with lava!
I thought it sounded a bit scary but Mummy said not to worry as it wouldn't happen to us on holiday...
...and Uncle Ellis said he was glad he wasn't there!
We stopped for lunch in the restaurant overlooking the mountains...
...I had pasta and fizzy water...
...but I was pretty tired by then after all the adventuring
I had a nap and everyone else enjoyed the rest of lunch and the amazing view
When I woke up, Aunt Nini took a photo of Mummy, Daddy and me. We were a little wind swept!
When we got back to the villa, I thought that was all the adventuring done for the day but no! Mummy, Daddy, Nini and me drove to Playa Papagayo, which is the Parrot beach in English - because it's where the pirates used to moor their ships.
We sunbathed and played in the sand...
It was really beautiful there
Daddy took me into the sea. It was freezing cold...
...but I really loved it
I was so tired by the time we got back that I slept all night through.
I love holidays!

Day Five Hundred and Eighty-Seven

Thursday 3rd April 2014 ~ Today started well with a long play around the villa...
...and when everyone else woke up, I had a second breakfast of pastry and apple juice
...and then a run around in my nappy with my Trunki
And then it was time to head out so I grabbed my cap and my bag and we hit the road...
We walked from the villa to the Promenade
The sun was shining and everyone was happy
After a walk along the Promenade, we stopped off for a juice
I had a really long run around with Aunt Nini
Look at this beautiful photo she took of me
We walked some more... all the way along to Marina Rubicon...
...where we stopped for lunch. I had prawns and baby squid and spaghetti. It was delicious.
And then I had a nap, whilst Mummy, Daddy and Nini walked behind the Marina to see the sea and a small fortress (of Castillo Coloradas) and some amazing scenery
Oh look, there we are!
And here's a photo of Mummy and me that Daddy took from the fortress
And then it was time to head back to the villa...
...and we even had time for a quick swim before bed.
What a day!

Day Five Hundred and Eighty-Six

Wednesday 2nd April 2014 ~ It didn't take me long to get into this whole holiday thing...
...it looks like it's important to get up, eat and then have a lie around on a sun lounger.
I soon got bored of lying around and decided to have a run around the villa and garden instead
It wasn't too long before we went for a drive in Nini's broom broom into the Timanfaya National Park. Look at all the amazing scenery
We stopped off at the visitor's centre where we walked through all the volcanic rock...
Everybody thought it was great!
I loved walking along the long wooden bridge...
...and holding hands with Mummy and Nini
We drove through some more amazing scenery...
...and Daddy said it looked like the Wild West!
And we stopped off so I could have some lunch
Mummy, Daddy, Uncle Ellis, Phil and Nini had their lunch somewhere else and whilst everyone was finishing up, Aunt Nini took me to the playground across the road, where we had lots of fun...
Yay!
Then it was on to a Bodegas for some wine tasting
Mummy and me went for a walk around and we saw lots of birds flying around together.
I was really tired by this point but didn't really want to sleep.
Daddy took me for a walk in my buggy and finally I fell asleep. Mummy was happy. And soon after, it was back to our villa in time for bed

Day Five Hundred and Eighty-Five

Tuesday 1st April 2014 ~ Today we got up really early to get a plane from London Gatwick to Lanzarote. Uncle Ellis and Aunt Nelia (who I call Nini) met us at the airport. At first I looked out of the window when the plane took off and then I fell asleep on Mummy and Daddy and had a long nap. I really liked being on the aeroplane and Mummy said I was an angel
As soon as we got to the airport, I had a great time running around. Run run run!
When we arrived, it was warm and sunny and Aunt Nini drove us to where we were staying - Villa Amandelen. There are so many rooms that I had a great time exploring. There is a swimming pool too, which I can't wait to go in. I got straight into my sandals and sun hat. Come on everybody, I'm ready to go!
We went out in the car and I said "more Nini broom broom", which made Mummy laugh and say I was cute. We drove to Playa Blanca and walked along by the sea...
We had a late lunch in a fish restaurant by the sea. I had lots of prawns and some rice and some apple juice. And I had a brilliant time playing with Uncle Ellis...
...look how happy and rascally I am!
Mummy tried to take a nice photo of us all but me and Uncle Ellis didn't want to smile so we made faces at each other instead. I have a feeling this holiday is going to be fun.

Day Five Hundred and Eighty-Four

Monday 31st March 2014 ~ Only one more sleep until our holiday. Yay!
