...this much!
Going for dinner with Daddy afterwards was pretty fun too

Day Three Hundred and Seventy

Thursday 29th August 2013 ~ This morning Mummy and me hung out and played in my bedroom. Oh look, it's me and Esme on the wall!
This afternoon we went to visit Aunt Veronica and cousin Lois. Look how much fun I had.

Day Three Hundred and Sixty-Nine

Wednesday 28th August 2013 ~ Eddie-Frank and me met for lunch and then went to Walthamstow toy library for messy play. I mostly enjoyed eating the cheerios off the floor (even though Mummy told me not to)...
...I did some maths too...
...and some really good standing

Day Three Hundred and Sixty-Eight

Tuesday 27th August 2013 ~ Today Grandma, Grandad, Mummy and me went to check out our local pub...
Burger and chips please...
...and a nose at the locals.
The pub wasn't too bad...
...and nor was our local park...
...Mr Sun came out and I was looking pretty cool in my sunglasses, waiting for the bus home.
When we got home, Mummy's friend Amy had sent a lullaby she wrote for me. We listened to it before bed. Isn't it beautiful?

Day Three Hundred and Sixty-Seven

Monday 26th August 2013 ~ Today I had a lot of time to play with my new toys and I had fun being pushed around the house in my car. More, more! Beep beep!
Then teddy and me had a nap before we went out for a long walk and for some food in a pub
Daddy and Mummy put together my new highchair in time for dinner...
...and I used my new Gruffalo cutlery, which I got for my birthday from my friend Jess' mum Lorna. I love it!
And tonight I slept for the first time in my own room. Mummy was a little sad but I did just fine.

Day Three Hundred and Sixty-Six

Sunday 25th August 2013 ~ I'm one year old today
After a breakfast of scrambled egg on toast, Mummy and Daddy showed me my new bedroom...
...Mummy has painted a woodland mural for me on the wall...
...and Daddy put up shelves for all my books
I opened all my birthday cards...
...and my presents too.
Here's me with a shape sorter from Grandma Catherine and Grandad John. And a fox puppet from Uncle Ed and Aunt Amy (in cosy corner by my books!)
Mummy and Daddy got me a spinning top and a teddy-in-a-box...
Aunt Veronica and Uncle Rob got me an egg and chicken train and a wooden farmyard, which was very tasty...
...Uncle Ellis got me this beautiful dress and a pull-along owl to match Mr owl on my pushchair...
...and Ed and Amy got me this tunnel too. Peekaboo!
Cousins Levi and Ferdi got me a set of instruments...
...which I had great fun playing

 We read books...
...and played with my new toys until I was really sleepy
Daddy showed me the fairytale castle on the wall and then it was time for my morning nap
When I woke up, both my Grandma and Grandads 'phoned to sing me Happy Birthday...
...and I had a ride in my great new car before we went out
Mummy and Daddy took me to the museum of childhood for the afternoon as a birthday treat...
We played for ages in the sensory room...

...which was great!
 Here's me with my Daddy
and with Mummy too!
And here's us all together. I didn't feel like staying still for this one!
I played in the sandpit too...
...and had fun making friends...
...before it was time to go home
Here's me with my Mummy and Daddy before bed. I had a great birthday. I'm looking forward to the next one!

Day Three Hundred and Sixty-Five

Saturday 24th August 2013 ~ It's the day of my first birthday party, which I'm sharing with my friends Marianne, Eddie-Frank, Kit and Henry. Here's me testing out a balloon before the party. It worked just fine!
Grandad Mel and Grandma Kay came to our house with my birthday present. I love it!
We were supposed to have a big picnic in Wanstead Park but it rained and rained and rained so our Mummies and Daddies hired a hall instead. Doesn't it look pretty?
I had a sleep for the first bit...
...and when I woke up, it was all a bit overwhelming so I had cuddles with Daddy...
...and some food with Grandad, before I was ready for the party.
Mummy bought me a pretty dress with birds on it and some gold ballet shoes...
...and we had a big chocolate cake with teddy bears
We had cuddles with our Mummies...
...and Daddy lit the candles on the cake before everyone sang us Happy Birthday
Grandma Catherine and Grandad John came along too. Here they are with my cousin Lois...
...and here's my best friend Marianne with her Mummy
I was playing on the floor nicely and Mummy put a party hat on me. I didn't love it...
Cousin Lois didn't mind it at all!
I was much happier when Mummy took it off...
...and I had a play with my Grandma Kay
We had a great time but by the end I was ready for bed...
...I think my Mummy and Daddy were ready for bed too. But while I was sleeping, they were getting my new room ready as a surprise for the morning...
...I'm a very lucky birthday girl.
