Saturday 20th April 2013 ~ Coming back from holiday is difficult. But instead of dwelling on the post-holiday blues, I made the most of getting back into my old routines. Here's me brushing my teeth on Mummy and Daddy's bed...
...and playing with my toys in the living room while Mummy and Daddy made me breakfast
We went to a cafe in Higham's Park and I realised that it was possible to make friends at home too...
This nice lady in the background smiled at me and asked what my name was. She said that Clara was the name of the little girl from the Nutcracker and Mummy said that she knew and that was why she chose it.
We went for a long walk in the wood. I was happy to see that Mr Sun had arrived here too...
...but I spent quite a bit of time sleeping and recovering from all my adventures on holiday
Friday 19th April 2013 ~ Today it was time to go back home to London. But first we had breakfast, said goodbye to the friends I had made in the hotel and went for a final walk along the coast.
Here's me and Daddy walking down to the beach
And here's us getting blown about by the wind. Every so often a big wave came and sprayed us with water so we didn't stay here very long...
...Just long enough for us to take a photo of all three of us before we left.
We had a fantastic holiday...
...but after a really long journey home, I was so happy to be back in my own bed with all my teddies. I smiled a lot as my mobile played and picked up Mr Robin. Then I fell straight to sleep.
Tuesday 16th April 2013 ~ This morning Mummy and I fed the stray cats who have been sleeping on the balcony. They especially enjoyed the Ella's Kitchen baby fish pie dinner, which I thought was disgusting
After breakfast we got the bus into Heraklion. It rained a lot just as we arrived and Mummy and Daddy got soaked.
We walked up a street called '25th August' and when the rain had stopped, Daddy held me up so Mummy could take a photo. They said it was the day I was born but I wasn't impressed at all.
I was much happier when they put me back down so I could carry on making friends with the locals
We went for a delicious lunch in a seafood restaurant overlooking the port and I ate everything including octopus...
...Mummy and Daddy gave me a baby squid to hold...
...and I tried eating it but it was too chewy
We went for a walk out to the fort
It was so blustery and cold that Daddy had to hold onto his hat
I've never seen such big waves
All the clouds made for an amazing sunset. Here's the view from the hotel on the way to dinner
We went to the restaurant by the sea, which is run by a little man in a suit who loves me.
he kept giving me kisses and making me laugh. He even gave me a hat to wear.
