Day One Thousand Five Hundred and Thirty-Six

Sunday 6th November 2016 ~ Today, Daddy took Ira and I to the Natural History Museum - all on his very own. Fortunately, we were very well behaved and the good people of London took pity on Daddy and helped him up and down the surprising number of stairs and on and off the enormous number of different trains. Of course, because it was a beautiful Autumn day, when we arrived there was long queue of people waiting to get in. We passed the time eating oatcakes, which are, disappointingly, not like that much like cakes at all and posing for pictures - here's me looking cool, leaning up against the wall.
First stop, dinosaurs! Unfortunately, by this point Ira was out of the buggy and rampaging around the entrance hall at full tilt, so Daddy was only able to take this shaky snap of me before breaking out the lasso, but still - dinosaurs!
We spent the next couple hours looking at blue whales, more dinosaurs, volcanoes and birds and even managed to enjoy an extortionate lunch perched in the corner of a heaving restaurant.
Eventually, Ira fell fast asleep and we took that as the signal to head for home, up stair and under ground. Before we got back on the tube I had a super-secret ride on a carousel, can you guess what I told Daddy when he asked what my favourite bit of the day had been? That's right, the dinosaurs!
