Day One Thousand

Wednesday 20th May 2015 ~ Today I am one thousand days old. That doesn't mean very much to me but Mummy and Daddy said it was pretty exciting. Grandma Kay wrote to say her and Grandad Mel had seen a rainbow and so Mummy and me made one out of bricks in Kid's club.
After lunch and a quick nap, we went on a big adventure. Mummy and Daddy decided it would be a good idea to walk along the beach into Santa Maria. At first I was happy to walk across the sand...
...but it was so windy and I got tired and the sand kept going on my knees, which upset me...
...so Daddy carried me all the way to the top of this giant sand dune. Wow!
And then, I climbed into my buggy as Daddy pushed me along the sand, by the sea
I could hear the waves crashing onto the beach...
...and the view was just beautiful
Now and then I jumped out for a little walk and dipped my feet into the sea
It was a really really long way. After a while, the buggy got too hard to push across the sand so Ira got in instead and Mummy carried me the rest of the way. It was a crazy adventure...
...but we made it in the end.
We got to Santa Maria with just enough time for a cold drink and a bit of shopping before we had to head back for dinner.
