Day Nine Hundred and Eighteen

Saturday 28th February 2015 ~ This morning Iggle Piggle and me played in our boat while Mummy and Daddy got everything ready for Ira's naming ceremony
We went to the Vestry House Museum. Every started arriving with cake and other delicious things to eat. And we had lots of cups and saucers for tea and coffee. Both my Grandma and Grandads were there, my cousins Lois, Issy and James, my friends Marianne, Henry, Kit, Eddie-Frank and Grace, Uncle Ellis and Phoy.. in fact, almost everyone I know arrived!
There was a little ceremony for Ira, which involved a lot of talking. The best bit was when I got to go to the front to give my baby brother a red star balloon
I put it in his hand and he held onto it.
Mummy and Daddy said that we can share it
My Grandads each read a poem and Christine and Kumari spoke too
The end of the ceremony was the best bit because we had cake and apple juice and I got to run around in the garden with my friends, Ellis and Phoy and Grandad Mel
Here's me and my brother with our two Grandad's...
...and here's Grandad John bopping me on the head with Ira's balloon for putting my finger in my nose!
I had such a fun day.
Happy naming day baby Ira xx
