Day Four Hundred and Eighty-Eight

Wednesday 25th December 2013 ~ When I woke up, Father Christmas had filled my stocking with presents, just like Mummy and Daddy said he would!
I got some nursery rhyme cards, a tweeting bird, a ball, a wind-up boat for the bath, a snake, some jingle bells and some chocolate coins. Chocolate coins for breakfast?...
...what a treat!
When we went downstairs, I told Grandad all about it
Grandad thought it sounded great too
There were lots of presents under the Christmas tree...
...and I was really looking forward to opening them
Daddy took some photos of Mummy and me looking Christmassy. You might think I'm laughing because I'm really happy...
...but actually I was trying to escape a big Christmas tickling!
Cousin Lois arrived with her Mummy and Daddy...
...and we had lots of fun playing together. Here's me showing Cousin Lois my ball from Father Christmas.
Aunt Amy was there too. Here's a picture of her looking beautiful next to the Christmas tree (Uncle Ed was in Southend with my other Grandma and Grandad)
After what seemed like ages, we started to open our presents
It took me a little while but I soon got the hang of it!
I got so many brilliant presents, including some new books, a crocodile xylophone and a beautiful new dress from Grandma and Grandad, a scuttlebug from Mummy and Daddy, an animal alphabet toy from Aunt Veronica and Uncle Rob, and a bubble frog for my bath from Aunt Amy and Uncle Ed
Cousin Lois got some great presents too...
...but she really enjoyed the wrapping paper!
I love my scuttlebug. I knew how to ride it straight away. Aunt Veronica called me Ayrton Senna but I don't know what that means.
Cousin Lois and me both had a nap, waking up just in time for Christmas lunch
We both sat in our highchairs at the table
Lunch was delicious but I ate mainly stuffing, followed by Christmas pudding and cream. Mmmm!
After lunch, I serenaded everyone with my crocodile xylophone.
Today Christmas blinky blink; tomorrow Beethoven's 5th!
After dinner, there was even more time to play. I tried on my new dress and Mummy said I looked like Julie Andrews but I don't know what that means either!
Before bed there was even time to play in a big cardboard box. Such fun!
Merry Christmas to all, Peekaboo and Goodnight xx
