Day Three Hundred and Twenty-Nine

Friday 19th July 2013 ~ This morning I helped Mummy with her chores...

...and this afternoon Eddie-Frank and Kit came over to play with me in my paddling pool

Day Three Hundred and Twenty-Eight

Thursday 18th July 2013 ~ Today Mummy and I went back to the Museum of Childhood...

...where we met Mummy's friend Tammy and my new friend Arlo

Arlo and me enjoyed looking at all the pretty lights...

...and I tried to hold his hand but Mummy says he's too little

When I got tired, I took my blanket out from under my pushchair and snuggled down. I didn't sleep though... It was much more fun being rocked and sung to by Mummy

Day Three Hundred and Twenty-Seven

Wednesday 17th July 2013 ~ This hot weather is hard work. Mummy took me swimming with my friend Marianne this morning but I spent most of the day in my nappy...

...and so did Marianne!

Marianne's Mummy made us a delicious lunch...

...and we had lots of fun playing together

Day Three Hundred and Twenty-Six

 Tuesday 16th July 2013 ~ Today my Grandma and Grandad came to visit. We had lots of fun in the garden...

...I had a really good crawl around

Then we went for a walk and Grandad said to Mummy "Who says this baby doesn't wear hats?" 

I put up with it for a short while but I certainly wasn't pleased.

Grandad put his hat back on and we went to water my tree as it's been so hot and it's only little

I had a great day. I especially enjoyed lunch... Grandma made spaghetti bolognese and Grandad fed me. Can you tell?

Day Three Hundred and Twenty-Five

Monday 15th July 2013 ~ This morning started brilliantly with some chocolate muffin. Have I mentioned that I've learnt the word more? It's my third word after Mumma and Dadda. Aunt Nelia says she's sure she heard me say Ja too!

 After breakfast we went for a lovely walk through Zurich... 

 ...and stopped for a colourful swing break

 When I got too hot in my pushchair, Mummy carried me in the carrier. Here's us sitting by the river

 We met Aunt Nelia for lunch and the waitress gave me a giraffe finger puppet

 Nelia played with me by making the giraffe talk...

...it was so much fun!

After lunch, Aunt Nelia took us to a very opulent cafe for coffee and icecream. Here's me looking splendid!...

...and then Mummy carried me for a while...

...until we stopped for a family portrait before heading back to London

Day Three Hundred and Twenty-Four

 Sunday 14th July 2013 ~ This morning, after breakfast, I played with Aunt Nelia...

...It was so much fun!

I wore the beautiful dress Aunt Nelia sent me from Spain...

...and we all went to the lido around the corner

The water was really really cold brrrr (but this polar bear didn't think so)

Mummy, Daddy and Aunt Nelia took it in turns to go swimming in the river. They had to walk along the edge first and then scramble across some rocks whilst holding onto ropes before getting in the water and being carried down by the current to the other end. It was too cold and scary for babies...

We caught a tram to the lake...

...and had some lunch

They didn't have any highchairs so I sat on the table between my Mummy and Daddy. I wasn't interested in my baby food...

...so Aunt Nelia fed me sausage and bread and potato. The waiter played with me and then gave me a free icecream. I wasn't allowed to eat all of it though.

We went for a nice walk around the lake...

...isn't it beautiful?

When we'd finished walking, we got a boat all the way back to the main station

I enjoyed being on the boat but I was quite tired by then...

...so when we got home, Aunt Nelia sang to me and I went straight to bed without even having my dinner. It's ok, I'll be sure to wake Mummy up for a midnight feast.

Day Three Hundred and Twenty-Three

 Saturday 13th July 2013 ~ This morning I had fun crawling around Aunt Nelia's apartment...

...and then we went for a long walk along the river

We stopped for a swing break in the park...

...and for lunch by the river. Isn't it beautiful? 

I spent most of today putting my feet up while Mummy, Daddy and Aunt Nelia showed me the sights of Zurich...

...and I had a little sleep so they stopped for coffee in the Odeon cafe

Luckily I woke up in time for a look around...

...and a little relax with my Daddy. It was really hot today - look how rosy my cheeks are!

Before we went home, we went to Aunt Nelia's manager's wedding reception. The house was very old and beautiful but I mostly had fun crawling around on the grass. I was definitely ready for bed by the time we got back.
