Day Two Thousand and Fifty-Three

Monday 9th April 2018 - My friend Lulu went home today and left this giant flamingo next to the swimming pool. I was tempted to try it out but then I remembered how cold the pool was!
We drove to a very small town called Diabat but there wasn't much there
So instead we had a picnic but at the villa with our new baskets and teddies
We walked into the medina as the sun was setting
I got tired so Daddy carried me on his shoulders
Before dinner we posted postcards to our Grandma and Granddads. I wonder how long they'll take to arrive

Day Two Thousand and Fifty-Two

Sunday 8th April 2018 - This morning Ira and I went shopping with our new bags. We chose fruit and snacks and jellies
And then we went to explore a beach up the coast. We had a walk and collected rocks. But it was so windy that we wanted to head back soon after
We loved our afternoons playing in the villa with our new friend Lulu - who was there with her Mummy, Daddy and sister
We went into essaouria medina for dinner and then watched the sunset from a rooftop bar
What a great holiday we're having
Before bed, we had stories and chocolate milk in the orange room, in front of a fire

Day Two Thousand and Fifty-One

Saturday 7th April 2018 - Today started with our usual (and giant) breakfast of bread, pastries, pancakes, cake and orange juice
Then we went to the beach opposite to go on a camel ride. I loved it!
Ira's camel was called Sultan and mine was called Cappuccino
In the evening we went into the medina to look at the shops and have some dinner.,
Ira insisted we needed these little shopping bags!

Day Two Thousand and Fifty

Friday 6th April 2018 - Today we went on an adventure in the car. Daddy drove us all the way along the coast to a place called Safi, which was a small town by the sea. It was a long journey but we didn't mind because we played games an watched things on the iPad
When we arrived, we had a chicken tagine in a beautiful court yard
Then we drove a bit further along the coast to a place called Ouladia, where there were supposed to be Flamingos..
There weren't any flamingos, but there was a lovely beach to run along. And ice cream too

Day Two Thousand and Forty-Nine

Thursday 5th April 2018 - Today we got ready and waited outside the villa for a bus to take us to Villa Maroc Les Jardins
Where we spent the day swimming in a beautiful (and warm) swimming pool
Had lunch and played in the gardens. Ira and I played chipmunks and collected flowers
We walked into the medina as the sun set
And had fish for tea in the fishermen's stalls

Day Two Thousand and Forty-Eight

Wednesday 4th April 2018 - Today we got up, had a big breakfast in our villa and then walked along by the sea all the way to the port, which was full of fishermen and seagulls flying in the sky
We went up on the ramparts and there was a beautiful view across to the medina
We walked around the medina and Daddy picked up the car. Then we all found a Moroccan restaurant and had a tagine and some cous cous

Day Two Thousand and Forty-Seven

Tuesday 3rd April 2018 - Today we got up in the middle of the night and Daddy drove us to the airport in the dark so we could get on a plane all the way to Morocco
We arrived in Essaouira and went straight to our beautiful villa - Villa Quieta, where we were greeted with mint tea and biscuits
The garden was just beautiful and the sun was shining too
This was the view from the roof terrace
And this was the door to our room, where Ira and I had beds on a mezzanine level
There was a lounge upstairs where we made a den and ate apples (we called in the apple room)
And there was a beautiful sunset.
I think I'm going to like it here

Day Two Thousand and Forty-Six

Monday 2nd April 2018 - One more sleep before our holiday

Day Two Thousand and Forty-Five

Sunday 1st April 2018 - Today is Easter Sunday...
...and the Easter bunny (which I know is Mummy and Daddy!) brought us lots of chocolate eggs and Easter treats
We went to Grandma Catherine and Granddad John's house, where we had an Easter egg hunt in the garden with Issy and James
Happy Easter everyone!

I think I'm ready!

Day Two Thousand and Forty-Three

Friday 30th March 2018 - Ellis and Phil came to see us and we went for lunch in the Owl pub. It was too wet to play outside so we played games inside in the warm
It was lots of fun and really good to see them both
We went home for an Easter egg hunt and some Easter treats

Day Two Thousand and Forty-Two

Thursday 29th March 2018 - Ira was at preschool this morning but I didn't have to go to school so Mummy asked where I wanted to go and I said I wanted to go to my favourite cafe for a drink. So that's where we went.
And then back to Ira's preschool (and my old preschool) to help with their bake sale.
I saw Lisa and Terri and Vicky and Janet and they were so excited to see me. They gave me a cuddle and asked how school was going. I loved seeing them again
And the cakes were delicious too

Day Two Thousand and Forty-One

Wednesday 28th March 2018 - Today was my school Easter bonnet parade. I spent breakfast time putting on the finishing touches - jewels and glittery stars on the peacock and some sparkly spray on the feathers
I was pretty pleased
We had an Easter bonnet parade in the school hall...
Daddy and Ira came to watch
Everyone loved my peacock hat and Miss Biggar the head teacher said it was an "inspiration"!
I won the prize for the best bonnet - a big chocolate Easter egg :)

Day Two Thousand and Forty

Tuesday 17th March 2018 - When I scoot home from school with Grandma and Granddad on a Tuesday, I never know what exciting things will be waiting for me at home
Today it was making play doh burgers!
