Day One Thousand and Eighty-One

Sunday 9th August 2015 ~ This morning was our last morning in the woods so we made the most of it by playing together whilst our Mummies and Daddies packed
Eddie-Frank, Henry and I played pass the ball
...though we didn't always manage to catch it!
Mummy got this great video of us when we didn't know she was watching
We played outside the cabins...
...collecting leaves and twigs
And then Mummy put the camera on timer so we could take this group photo...
...before a final trip to the forest playground before home

I had an amazing weekend and really didn't want to leave

Day One Thousand and Eighty

Saturday 8th August 2015 ~ This morning, my friends and I went marching through the woods...
left right, left right...
...It was a beautiful morning
We sat in the sunshine and had a picnic lunch...
...followed by pink fairy cakes...
...and spent the afternoon dancing and playing in the woods
Then we went to see all of the animals on the farm
After our walk around the farm, we went to the pub across the road for some food...
...and a play with my friends in the garden. Then it was back to the cabin for stories and bed next to our toasty log burner. I love it here.

Day One Thousand and Seventy-Nine

Friday 7th August 2015 ~ Today Grandma and Grandad drove us to Ardeley, near Stevenage, where we were staying on a farm in the woods. My friends Marianne, Henry, Herbie, Eddie-Frank and Gracie were staying there too. We played musical statues...
...and all helped to push Ira in Henry'a pushchair around the farm!
There was a beautiful meadow with wild flowers and little Christmas trees...
...and a brilliant woodland playground...
...with lots of little play houses and a slide
I really loved exploring the woods an collecting sticks...
...and I loved all the animals on the farm. Oink oink!
We went back to our cabins before bedtime, had a play in the woods and dinner around the campfire. Sausages, my favourite!
We al snuggled up in Henry's cabin and had stories with Herbie's Mummy Joy...
...and when it was time for bed, Daddy lit the wood burner and teacake curled up by my feet to keep me company. As Herbie's Mummy said, it was just like Peter Pan

Day One Thousand and Seventy-Three

Saturday 1st August 2015 ~ I was quite sad not to be on holiday anymore. I missed my Aunt Nini, Uncle Ellis and Phoy.. and the swimming pool!
But we got back to normal quite quickly. I wore my Elsa dress and hung out with my brother in the garden...
...and we went to investigate a new park in Chingford too, which was fun

Day One Thousand and Seventy-Two

Friday 31st July 2015 ~ Today was our long journey home from holiday and I wasn't very happy to be leaving. We stopped off in Bruges, which didn't cheer me up much...
even though Mummy said it was like a something fairytale
We were delayed by two hours getting on the ferry, which wasn't great but it was good to be heading back to England at last. I stood at the back and said goodbye to France...
...and I asked Mummy to take a photo of me being a rascal
Mummy said I looked as cute as a button.
And before I knew it, I was back home in my own bed again

Day One Thousand and Seventy-One

Thursday 30th July 2015 ~ I had my own room in the lodge but I found it scary. It took me ages to get to sleep and I woke up very upset. Mummy and Daddy didn't realise at first but I was worried about monsters being outside in the forest. So I swapped with Daddy and slept in Mummy'd bed with Ira
After we woke up and had breakfast, Mummy, Daddy and Nini took me down to visit the farm at feeding time. I saw the stinky pigs being fed...
... and stroked this little goat who was sitting on the tractor
After a final swim and an afternoon spent packing our things, we got ready to go out for dinner. Mummy even put a dress and some lipstick on and did my hair in bunches
It was an all you can eat buffet restaurant. Guess which my favourite bit was? Yep, ice-cream with sprinkles!
After dinner, we all went for a final cycle around the lake. The forest and the lake looked beautiful as the sun was just about to set...
We stopped to have a look at the rainbow above the lake and I took my shoes off to have a little paddle
It felt really good to have my feet in the water...
We saw lots of fluffy ducklings swimming past. I didn't want to leave but Mummy said it was getting dark.
I've had such a lovely holiday with everyone. I hope we can do it again soon.
