Day One Thousand Two Hundred and Eighteen

Thursday 24th December 2015 ~ Today was Christmas Eve and I was a beautiful angel in the All Saint's Church Nativity

A bigger boy played Gabriel and some girls were big angels but I was the littlest angel (and Daddy said the cutest too)

I was quite nervous because the church was full of people but I still went up on the stage with my new friend Archie (who was dressed as a cow)

I sat down behind Gabriel...

...and sang Away in a Manger

When the nativity had finished, I went with one of the bigger girl angels and lit a candle on the Christmas tree...

...and then all the lights lit up!

I was nervous about that too but I did it anyway and my Mummy and Daddy were so proud of me

When we got home, Daddy lit a fire...

My brother and I wore matching pyjamas. We had a mini disco and played musical statues too

Before bed, we put out a mince pie for Father Christmas and a carrot for the reindeer. And I sprinkled some reindeer food on the path too

Then it was time for bed. We hung my stocking up at the end of the bed and I went straight to sleep. I was so excited to wake up and see what Father Christmas had brought me

Day One Thousand Two Hundred and Seventeen

Wednesday 23rd December 2015 ~ Today we went to All Saint's Church in Highams Park for the nativity dress rehearsal.. I'm going to be an angel. Aren't I beautiful?

I made two new friends - Archie the cow and Anna the donkey! And I really enjoyed learning about the Christmas story

Day One Thousand Two Hundred and Sixteen

Tuesday 22nd December 2015 ~ Today we had a mini Christmas party with my friend Eli, his baby brother Ralph and cousin Lois. Mummy drew a Christmas tree for us to decorate...

...and we had mini gingerbread men to decorate with icing and frozen sprinkles

But we mostly just played and laughed a lot

Day One Thousand Two Hundred and Fifteen

 Monday 21st December 2015 ~ Today was the winter solstice, which Mummy says is the shortest day of the year. Mummy and Daddy picked us up early from nursery and we drove to Audley End for a magical adventure 

We went on a miniature railway - lots of little red carriages...

 ...pulled along by a black steam train

We chugged into the forest...

...under the moonlight...

...All the way to Father Christmas' grotto, which was full of fairy lights and reindeer

Father Christmas came to see us in our little red carriage...

...and gave me the cutest little snowy owl in a christmas hat

Day One Thousand Two Hundred and Fourteen

Sunday 20th December 2015 ~Today we went to see Jack and the Beanstalk - my very first pantomime with Mummy, Daddy, Grandma Catherine and Grandad John...

...it was brilliant!

Day One Thousand Two Hundred and Thirteen

Saturday 19th December 2015 ~ Today we went to Mersea Island, a tiny island in the Blackwater and Colne Estuaries to the South-East of Colchester. I ran straight out on the mud to collect stones...

...and we had fish and chips on the beach as the sun went down

We also went on a boat trip around the estuary, which I absolutely loved. 

It was blustery and cold and the sea water sprayed up into our faces but the sky was just beautiful

We headed home just as the sun went down and before the tide got too high for us to leave the island.

Thursday 17th December 2015 ~ Today I got dressed up like a Christmas fairy (with DMs) for nursery because it was our Christmas concert 

I sat right at the front where Mummy could see me

We wore red Christmas hats...

...and I looked beautiful

Charlotte told us to smile while we were singing. It wasn't easy at all but I gave it a go anyway. And I tried my hardest to remember all the words

Wednesday 16th December 2015 ~ Today we went to the All Saints playgroup Christmas party. Father Christmas was there and this is as close as I got!

Wednesday 16th December 2015 ~ Today we went to the All Saint's playgroup Christmas party. There was a bouncy castle, toys to play with, gingerbread to decorate, party food and a red balloon disco

I really do enjoy dancing

Oh, and Father Christmas was there too and he wasn't scary at all. He asked me how old I was and whether or not I had been a good girl (which Mummy said I had). And then he gave me a book about the story of Christmas

Tuesday 15th December 2015 ~ I'm smiling because it's Grandma and Grandad Tuesday - the highlight of my week!

Mean Grandad gave me some chocolates I couldn't open...

...and put me in this box. But I still had a brilliant day :)

Monday 14th December 2015 ~ When I get home from nursery, I very much like monkeying around until bedtime. At the moment, my favourite thing is bouncing up and down on Mummy and Daddy's bed. Can you see my brother playing peekaboo?
