Day Five Hundred and Fifty-One

Wednesday 26th February 2014 ~ Today Mummy and me went to the grand opening of the new Leyton library...
...where we met my friends Marianne, Eddie-Frank and Henry
Then we walked to the Olympic Park where we had lunch and a play in the sunshine...
Mummy said I looked like Little Red Riding Hood
Marianne had to leave to pick her big brother up from school but I had a great time with the boys.
We played in the sandpit...
...and I decided I do like sand after all. Mummy says I'm going to love the summer as Grandma and Grandad live by the beach, which Mummy says is full of sand
I was a real hit with Henry. He called me Carcar and he held my hand...
...which made me smile
After some playing, we all went to sleep together and our Mummies went for a walk...
The park was very pretty...
...Mummy said Spring had arrived
Here's Mummy and me with Mr Sun. He had his hat on all day.
After we woke up, there was still more time to play before we had to go home. We had fun playing with spoons in the sand...
...and here's Henry and me in a little concrete boat
Love my friend Henry. What a brilliant day

Day Five Hundred and Fifty

Tuesday 25th February 2014 ~ Today I'm 18 months old. Happy one and a half birthday to me! Grandma and Grandad took me to the fun cafe in Chingford Mount, where I had a play...
...and lunch too.
We had the cafe all to ourselves, which was great!
After lunch we went for a walk...
...here's Grandma and me enjoying the winter sunshine
We went to the library too.
When we got home, there was still time for a play in the garden with Grandad...
...and a ride in my birthday car. Beep beep!
What a great day I've had...
I finished it off with a lovely song for Mummy

Day Five Hundred and Forty-Nine

Monday 24th February 2014 ~ Today when I woke up I was a cheeky monkey!
Look how grown up I am...
Mummy asked me and Tedda to look up so she could take a photo of us.
Cheese!

Day Five Hundred and Forty-Eight

Sunday 23rd February 2014 ~ After the excitement of yesterday, as soon as we'd finished breakfast, I got my coat and my boots and headed for the door. "You want to go outside?" said Mummy "yes, yes!" I said. I have such a good Daddy that he took me outside in his dressing gown. It was pretty cold out there. Brrrr.
Macca Pacca and me had fun exploring in the rubble. We're looking forward to when it gets a bit warmer so we can spend more time in the garden.
Apart from a walk down the road to the Farmer's market and Tesco, today was mostly spent inside playing and reading books. Mummy thinks she probably read me 50 stories today. More, more! Not surprisingly I went straight to sleep without a peep.

Day Five Hundred and Forty-Seven

Saturday 22nd February 2014 ~ Today Mummy and Daddy took me to Old McDonald's Farm. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was an extravaganza of animals and rides all rolled into one. We started by feeding the animals. Here's Mummy and me feeding the pigs...
It didn't take me long to get the hang of it at all (Daddy says because I have practised feeding biscuits to Esme cat)
Here you go...
I got to see a real life baa baa, who came right up to me for his lunch. Baaa! We saw bunnies and chickens and parrots too...
And then it was time for some rides. I went on a carousel for the first time ever. Look, I'm on an elephant!
After the carousel, Mummy and me went on the horse ride. I wasn't sure at first...
...and then I LOVED it. More more!
So Daddy took me on a horse too...
Look at us go!
Mummy was laughing. I have no idea why.
My favourite ride of the day was the train. Daddy and me got to drive it. Choo choo!
Mummy and me drove the train too. I could have stayed on all day.
Instead we went to play in the battle station. People were firing balls at each other. I hadn't quite got the hang of it!
Before we went home, there was time to feed another baa baa. This baa baa was very friendly..
...and very hungry!
He tried to give me a kiss but I wasn't keen
And then there was just enough time to say goodbye to the animals before Mummy, Daddy and me got on the real train home

Day Five Hundred and Forty Six

Friday 21st February 2014 ~ Today, I was super cool. In the morning I helped Daddy fix a puncture on his racing bike.
And in the evening I hung out with Mummy watching cartoons and drinking juice, she says I'm star material, but I'm way cooler than that, don't you think?

Day Five Hundred and Forty-Five

Thursday 20th February 2014 ~ Today began rain-soaked and miserable, worst of all the Limes was closed for half-term, so we had to improvise. After wandering around Lloyd Park for a bit, I decided drastic measures were required and broke out an ancient rain dance to the tune of 'Rain, rain, go-away...'
I can't deny, there were skeptics, but guess what, by afternoon, boy did they have red faces, as the sun burst through the clouds. Taking advantage of the nice weather, I took my trusty teddies outside for an inspection of the garden.
They especially liked the flowers Mummy and Grandma had planted.
Now that the sun was out, there was no stopping me. We went to the park and I played with my scooter. Scoot-scoot.
Then we went shopping, but by this time I was tired and hungry, I thought doughnuts might help, but settled for a jelly bean I swiped from the shelves.
